Updates - December 2025

A few days ago, we rolled out the latest major Trackkarma update for the year 2025. This is therefore the perfect opportunity to review the latest new features developed over the past few weeks.
Knowledge base
Over time, a roller derby league can accumulate a fairly substantial amount of knowledge. This may include administrative procedures, strategy definitions, or guides intended for members… Very often, this knowledge ends up scattered across various services, making it difficult to access.
In addition to the Resources feature, Trackkarma now offers a Knowledge base to help you structure this information. This Knowledge base allows you to create articles and organize them by category.

Access rights management
As Trackkarma grew, access rights management had gradually become overly complex and started to hinder future planned developments. For this reason, this system has been greatly simplified while striving to remain as logical as possible.
The main features affected are discussions, resources, and tasks. Previously, it was possible to define very granular member profiles with access rights. Unfortunately, in addition to the fact that an overwhelming majority of leagues stuck to the default configuration, this tended to make certain access-related behaviors unclear. Furthermore, this part of the application’s codebase was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.
The situation is now much simpler and clearer: a member has access to discussions, resources, and tasks related to the teams and groups they belong to. Of course, members with advanced roles and permissions still benefit from broader access to certain elements.
Access to attendance and statistics remains configurable.
League meetings
Until now, when creating a meeting, adding members was done by selecting teams and groups. This could be somewhat tedious for meetings involving the entire league.
It is now possible to specify directly that a meeting concerns the entire league. All active members of your league will then be invited to the meeting.
Notifications
We have also improved the display of notifications to make it more readable when a user receives a large number of notifications. Previously, it was easy to miss some of them when they arrived in quick succession.
Notifications that have not been read are now displayed more clearly, with a darker background color. In addition, the “View more” button shows the number of unread notifications beyond the last six displayed.
Finally, the screen displaying the complete list of notifications now includes a button that allows all notifications to be marked as read.
CSV export
The final new feature is more modest and is aimed at league administrators: it is now possible to choose the export format for the member list: Excel or CSV. Previously, only the Excel format was available.
Bugs and performance
A significant amount of behind-the-scenes work has also been carried out to fix many minor bugs and improve the overall performance of the application.
